The Liliana Marie Cordes Scholarship Fund will be awarded to residents of Hampshire County who are studying music; preference will be given to graduating high school seniors who are residents of South Hadley. The Lee Crabtree Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarded to graduates from a Springfield high school to pursue a college education while majoring in music; preference will be given to a student from Springfield Central High School or Springfield High School of Science and Technology. The Elliott Antokoletz Fund for research in twentieth-century music is a memorial to Elliott Antokoletz (1942-2017), one of the foremost scholars and teachers of twentieth-century music, whose work, insights, and phenomenal accomplishments emphasizing the creative aspects of music inspired decades of students. The Elliott Antokoletz Fund accepts applications from doctoral students at or Ph.D. graduates of North American universities to conduct doctoral or post-doctoral musicological research involving music-centered approaches to creativity in twentieth-century music (composition, improvisation, performance). If they seek to conduct research for their dissertation, they must have completed all other requirements for the Ph.D. If they seek to conduct post-doctoral research, they should have completed the Ph.D. within the past five years. Preference will be given to applicants whose home institutions do not offer financial support for musicological research. The award is to be given annually to one or more doctoral students at or Ph.D. graduates of North American universities to conduct doctoral or post-doctoral musicological research in all fields of musical scholarship and throughout the world. The Emery C. Toth, Jr. Scholarship Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide four-year scholarships in music education for graduates of Penn Trafford and Central Catholic High Schools. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in Penn-Trafford High School or Central Catholic High School. They must pursue a degree or studies in music education. Preference will be given to students who are members of Penn-Trafford High School band or chorus groups, and/or those who plan to pursue a degree or studies in music education. The Alice M. Snyder Scholarship Fund is open to Montoursville Area High School graduating seniors. Applicants must attend an accredited institution of higher education to continue their education as a music major with their principal instrument or major being the piano. If there are no candidates studying piano as a principal instrument, a student continuing their education as a music major and studying any musical instrument as their principal instrument or major can be considered.
