The SBS Graduate Award, formerly known as "Zimmermann Scholarship", may be awarded to the graduate students with the highest cumulative Grade Point Average. Applicants must be or have one of their parents be a Swiss national. Applicants must be U.S. Residents. Applicants must be permanently domiciled in either New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania or Delaware for two years or more. Applicants must study at a graduate school accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. On March 31, applicants must submit proof of their or their parent's Swiss citizenship; proof of applicant's U.S. citizenship or U.S. residency; and proof of cost for tuition, room and board (copy of bursar's bill). On April 30, applicants must also submit official transcripts of all college and graduate grades and two current letters of reference from professors in their major area of study. SWE New Jersey was chartered on October 10, 1970. This section supports professional women engineers in the entire state of New Jersey. The SWE New Jersey Section Scholarship aims to support incoming freshman engineering and engineering technology majors. SWE considers academic achievements, participation in extracurricular or volunteer activities, and interest in engineering. Those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited program may apply for this scholarship. Students who attend an ABET-accredited community college program full-time are also eligible. A personal reference and STEM reference are required. The personal reference must be a person who has known the applicant for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the applicant's family. For the STEM reference, it is highly recommended that the reference be someone in a STEM field who is familiar with the applicant's academic work. The Rogers Family Scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing degrees in environmental science, natural resource management, conservation, park administration, and related fields. Interested candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, though not necessarily a New Jersey university. The selection process rewards commitment, quality, diversity, and inclusion. Previous recipients may apply again in subsequent years. Two letters of recommendation must be submitted. If selected as a finalist, applicants will be asked to participate in an interview in late May or early June. If selected as a recipient, the funds will be sent directly to the college or university at which the student will be enrolled. Scholarship recipients will be asked to submit a photo. The New Jersey Hall of Fame is proud to announce the renewal of the Arete Scholarship Fund. The Arete Scholarships will be awarded to a deserving male and female student graduating in 2025 from a New Jersey high school. Arete is a concept that Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle referred to more than 3,000 years ago that refers to the act of actualizing one's highest sense of self with a moral excellence of character. The term Arete essentially means that the individual should strive to pursue their passions in life, and realize their dreams regardless of their circumstances or the adversities that they are likely to face on the path to greatness. The recipients of the Arete scholarship are young people who demonstrate that sense of Jersey pride and that willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty. The successful applicants must demonstrate qualities such as academic engagement, moral character, and a commitment to their community. These recipients do not necessarily have to be at the very top of their school class from an academic standpoint, but should demonstrate a focus in school and life, and have a well thought out plan on how they intend to realize their highest sense of self: their Arete. Three letters of recommendation are required; they must be from a teacher, a coach or extracurricular activity moderator, and a community leader. The Chris McCollum Annual Scholarship is open to undergraduate students who reside in Jersey City, with a secondary consideration given to a student from Hudson County, and preference given to a minority student. Special consideration is given to any student who comes from a single-parent home and/or demonstrates financial need.

The Cruz-Mills Annual Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Applicants must demonstrate financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government), and live in Paterson, New Jersey.

The Dr. Michael Dorizas Memorial Scholarship honors the late Dr. Michael Dorizas, a widely respected educator, lecturer and athlete. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited four-year college or university, or they must be high school seniors accepted for enrollment in such a degree program, and have outstanding academic qualifications. Applicants must also be of Greek descent or a student who has declared major in Hellenic Studies, regardless of heritage. High school seniors may submit their SAT/ACT scores, if available. One recommendation letter is required for undergraduate scholarships. For high school seniors, letters from guidance counselors, academic advisers, teachers, or professors are preferred. Letters from personal acquaintances are to be avoided if possible. For undergraduate students, letters from university professors are preferred but letters from internship supervisors are considered appropriate. Two essays are also required.
