The Minnie L. Maffett Scholarship will provide financial assistance to promote medical and nursing education for women. Scholarship monies must be used at an accredited college, university or certification program. If seeking a degree, applicants must have completed at least two semesters of studies. If seeking certification only, applicants must be registered for the certification program and have already paid the fees associated therewith. Applicants must be pursuing a M.D., D.O., O.D., BSN, MSN, DNP or a Master of Science in Medical Sciences, Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing; or in pursuit of a degree or certification in one of the areas listed in the scholarship's website. The Andrew Bartilucci Research Endowment Fund is awarded annually to academically qualified and/or deserving undergraduate students in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for campus research. The recipient shall be selected by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The Berge A. Kayaian Endowed Scholarship Fund is available to academically qualified and/or deserving undergraduate student(s) in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The recipient(s) of the scholarships shall be selected by the University's Office of Student Financial Services in conjunction with the Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences or its successor.

The Mary Jo and Donald L. Ritzenthaler Scholarship Fund is open to Union County Private or Public School (Lewisburg Area High School, Mifflinburg Area High School, Shady Grove Christian School) graduating seniors. Applicants must pursue a science or medical related degree including, but not limited to, pre-veterinary medicine, pre-medical, nursing or physician assistant programs. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in pre-veterinary medicine. Applicants must demonstrate care of others, including animals, through volunteerism. The AACAP Pilot Research Award, supported by Industry Supporters, offers $15,000 for general psychiatry residents who have an interest in beginning a career in child and adolescent psychiatry research. By providing up to two awards to general psychiatry residents for pilot research programs, we support these young investigators at a critical stage, encouraging future careers in child and adolescent psychiatry research. Candidates must be enrolled in a general psychiatry residency. Candidates must not have any previous significant, individual research funding in the field of child and adolescent mental health. Candidates must either be AACAP members or have a membership application pending and agree to submit a poster presentation on their research for AACAP's 72nd Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, October 20-25, 2025. The research proposal must include the research strategy, a detailed project timeline, a budget and justification, and the inclusion or exclusion of women and minorities. The Ina M. Cholke and Olga Dean Bullard Scholarship is open to an applicant who is pursuing a career in one of the health sciences. Applicants must be Winnebago County residents in good academic standing and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. They may be professional healthcare workers seeking additional education in their field. Preference is given to those who earned a high school diploma.

The Arlene and Fred Stahl Scholarship Fund is open to South Williamsport Area High School graduating seniors. Applicants must attend an accredited public college, university, or vocational school within 60 miles of Williamsport, PA, and be pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field of study. Preference will be given to applicants planning to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology. Secondary preference will be given to applicants with the greatest financial need. The Joseph R. Calder, Jr., MD, Scholarship Fund is open to current and/or aspiring Lycoming County medical professionals who plan to dedicate their lives to helping others. Applicants must be accepted into a medical related program, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, allied health, or any other related specialty. Preference will be given to either a student who is returning to develop new skills and/or knowledge, or a first-time student who is not necessarily a recent high school graduate. The Student Scholarships in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke will be awarded to students specifically researching cerebrovascular disease and stroke. Scholarship recipients may also be eligible to receive a $750 travel grant pending verification of their attendance at the International Stroke Conference (ISC) and an accepted, co-authored abstract for the current year's conference. The preceptor and recipient of a Student Scholarship in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke are encouraged to submit a co-authored abstract. Eligible applicants include students in medical schools or in master's or equivalent programs in an accredited school in the United States where research training in cardiovascular disease and stroke is available. MD/PhD and PhDs are ineligible unless the PhD was obtained previously in an area not related to basic sciences. Each applicant and applicant's preceptor must be members of the AHA at the time of application. The awards will be made to institutions within the United States in which the research training is available to students under qualified supervision. If the student conducts the research at a location other than their home institution, they must have written approval of his/her dean or other responsible individual. A committee of representatives of the American Heart Association scientific councils will select institutions based on the quality of a proposal, supporting supervision and the student's academic achievement. The institution in which the student is enrolled must appoint a preceptor to guide the student during the scholarship period. The student's and preceptor's curriculum vitae and bibliography must be submitted.
